Subject: Women’s Rights – A Call to Action

Dear Ms/Mr. _______ ,

My name is _____________ and I am a Year (i.e. 2000) graduate of _________ University.  In reaction to recent political events highlighting the fragile state of women’s rights in America, I am emailing you for your club’s assistance.   A friend of mine has started a blog entitled finding my voice by erin and she has very eloquently shared her personal rape story and in doing so hopes to empower women to speak and be heard.  She has called on each of us to do our part to ensure the battle of our foremothers was not in vain.

Erin’s blog is on WordPress and can be found here:

Please spread word of her blog.  Read her story and her Call to Action.  If you share the same energy I have after reading her post, please encourage your group to do something about it.  I would love to speak with you in person or over the phone about the actions we’re taking.  You can reach me at 555-555-555 or by email at

Erin is also encouraging you to reach out to her.  Post a comment on her blog and she will respond.

Thank you for helping women everywhere find their voice.

Sincerely yours,

Your Name
